Litha 2025, also referred to as the summer time solstice, is a big occasion within the Wiccan and Pagan calendar. It marks the longest day of the 12 months within the Northern Hemisphere and is a time of celebration, fertility, and development.
The summer time solstice has been celebrated for hundreds of years by many cultures world wide. In historical Greece, it was often called the pageant of Helios, the solar god. In Rome, it was celebrated because the Feast of Vesta, the goddess of the fireplace. And in Celtic cultures, it was often called Beltane, a pageant honoring the god of fireside.
