Texas is eliminating most car security inspections beginning January 2025. Which means drivers in Texas will not be required to get their automobiles inspected yearly. This alteration is anticipated to avoid wasting drivers money and time.
The choice to get rid of car security inspections was made by the Texas Legislature in 2021. The regulation that eradicated the inspections was signed by Governor Greg Abbott in June 2021. The regulation goes into impact on January 1, 2025.
