The area of the parallelogram can be found using the formula:

Area = base x height.

The area is 24, and the height is 3. Isolate the base. Note the equal sign. What you do to one side, you do to the other. Divide 3 from both sides

24 = b x 3

24/3 = 3b/3

divide

b = 24/3

b = 8

8 feet is your base

hope this helps
