We are looking for y.

y-(-3)*2-3. First we wanna change -(-3) to +3.

y+3*2-3. Then we are gonna do PEMDAS (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication/Division, Addition/Subtraction). Multiply 3 and 2.

y+6-3. Addition/Subtraction. Subtract 3 from 6.

y+3. Next , we are going to make it equal to 0.

y+3=0. Lastly, we are going to subtract 3 from both sides.

y=-3.

Your answer is, if I did it all correct, y=-3.

I hope this helps. If you need anymore help, just ask.
