What was Henry’s reason for protesting the Stamp Act

The reason for the protest was because the controversial act forced colonists to buy a British stamp for every piece of printed paper that they had obtained.  This included Ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications, and even playing cards were taxed.
