hence x1 = -4, y1 = -3, x2 = -8, y2 = 7

D = √[ (x2-x1)² + (y2-y1)²  ]

= √[ (  -8 - (-4) )² + (  7 - (-3)  )²  ]

= √[ (  -8 +4 )² + (  7 + 3  )²  ]

= √[ (  -4 )² + (  10  )²  ]

= √[ (  16 ) + (  100  )  ]

= √116

= 10.77
