Denote the length is a, then the width is a - 8.

The perimeter is more than 184:

=> 2 x ( a + a - 8) > 184

=> 2a - 8 > 92

=> 2a > 100

=> a > 50

=> a = 51

=> Minimum dimension for the length: a = 51
