A lawn mower costs $250. Today it is on sale for $150. What percent has
been taken off the price of the lawn mower? (What percent is 150 of 250?)

100%=250
250/100=1%. 2.5=1%
150/2.5=60
So the amount has been decreased by 40% :)


Or, you could do:
(150/250)x100, which also shows that 150 is 60 of 250
