Find the area of a triangle with vertices (1, -1), (7,5), (1, 7).

  • Please prefer the picture for your answer.
  • We know, area of a ∆ = 1/2 × base × height.
  • Here, base = ( 7 + 1) units = 8 units.
  • Height = (7 - 1) units = 6 units.
  • Therefore, the area of the ∆
  • = (1/2 × 8 × 6) square units
  • = 24 square units.

Answer:

The area of the triangle is 24 square units.
