The standard form for a linear equation is: ax + by + c = 0

Once we move all the variables and constants to one side, we get the standard form for a linear equation

[tex]y = \frac{2}{5} x - 7\\y -\frac{2}{5}x = -7\\ y - \frac{2}{5}x + 7 = 0\\[/tex]

Hope that helps!
