The circumference of the Earth is approximately 25,000 miles. Find the diameter of the Earth.

circumference = PI * diameter
diameter = circumference / PI
diameter = 25,000 / PI
diameter = 7,958 miles

Circumference rule = 2 pi r , pi = 3.14 or 22/7 D = 2r

Circumference = d * pi

: since Circumference = 25,000 miles then

D = Circumference / pi = 25, 000 / 3.14 = 7957.7 "Approximately"
