Chlorophyll is a pigment found in the chloroplasts of of plant cells and is responsible in making most plants appear green. These green plants contain chlorophyll and chlorophyll absorbs the red and blue wavelength in the light spectrum. They do not absorb green that's why it is reflected, and the plant looks green.
